newbie sorta
Well I just jumped on these boards and started talking to people I never introduced myself or anything. So My name is Vicki and my surgery is May 1st at Elmbrook hosp. with Dr Engstrand. I am on my liquid diet to prepare. (as some of you already know) I'm doing ok but the urge to cheat is soooo over whelming. I just want to get this over so I can start on the next part. Anyway I like in North Racine my husband works at Harley Davidson and I have 2 sons one is 22 and one just turned 18. He is a senior. and my 22 year old still lives with us here at home in the basement that he has converted into his apartment. Anyway nice to meet every one!
I had my surgery in October of 2007 (6 months out today)...and I had it in Kenosha with Dr. Jandali whom I LOVE!
I'm in west Racine..over near Case Highschool. When we moved up here we looked at places on the North side (almost bought a place on Lombard by the zoo)...but with my working in Kenosha it was too far. Lovely area though!
Hi, Julie and everyone. I live in Kenosha and have Dr. Wallce as a surgeon. He is a little odd, but very competant. I trusted him completely, and have had no problems and has very little post op pain, I'm certain because of his skill. I would really like it if we could form a support group in the Racine/Kenosha area.
Hi Vicki
I have done the same thing--just started to talk to people.
My name is Sylvia and I had my surgery with Dr. Chaing at Elmbrook on July 9th. I started my preop diet on June 18th with a high weight of 407 at the dietitican's office. I weighed 382 on surgery day. I was in the hospial from July 9th and finally discharged on July 12th (3-1/2 days)--a few complications like cathether, fever.
The first week was hard. I was on the pain meds for part of the time and now I don't need them. I see Dr Chaing on Thursday and find out what the scale will tell me.
How has your journey been going?
Sylvia
